It is necessary to build the European Community, otherwise Europe will soon be culturally Americanized, politically Finlandized and technologically Japaneseized (Franck Biancheri, EGEE I, 1984)
Thirty years ago, Franck Biancheri had predicted it: without citizens associated to the understanding of the stakes, to the production of the vision and to the orientation of the decisions, Europe (as the Community) would inexorably become a totalitarian technocracy reigning by the moralization of the decisions and the manufacture of enemies (the Ottoman empire of Ismael Kadare or of Kafka) What a beautiful History would have, on the contrary, told a democratic EU?… Eternal regrets.
As part of the 10th anniversary of the death of Frank AAFB in partnership with the City of Menton organizes a conference-debate on Saturday, March 18th, 2023 in Menton entitled:
“The end of Europe? Inflation, energy crisis, border war … what Franck Biancheri the Mentonnais (1961-2012) would say today”
To answer this question, several emblematic representatives of the Biancheri epic have been invited to listen to what people from a common path of European activism have to say today on this subject. These different points of view will be conducive to initiate the reflection and debate that interest us with the public of Mentonnais.
