Europe2020 Euro-Citizens Directory Handover Ceremony, Thursday 22nd of October 2020

Finally here it comes! This is your’s! You are History! Save the date and join the event made for you on 22nd of October 2020 at 4.00 pm.

Join the Europe2020 Handover Ceremony with the Fondation Jean Monnet pour l’Europe.

The ceremony will consist of a solemn online handover of the Directory to Fondation Jean Monnet Europe – Lausanne. This Directory is the living memory of the 1985-2020 historical Euro-citizen engagement for a political and democratic Union, thus completing the Franck Biancheri archives’ handover of 2019. The Ceremony will be followed by a 1,5-hour discussion on : What role – if any – of our generation – in the European History episode that opened up so dramatically this year ?

Provisional Programme 22 October 2020

4.00 pm – 5.00 pm: Handover Ceremony
. Opening speeches by Gilles Grin, Director of FJME, and Marie-Hélène Caillol, President of LEAP/Franck Biancheri Foundation
. Visit of the Franck Biancheri archives section at FJME – virtual tour
. Presentation of the Directory, by Jordi Lafon
. Speeches on the historical dimension of this movement of Euro-Citizenship
. Solemn handover

5.00 pm – 6.30 pm: Debate “What role – if any – for our generation of Euro-Citizens in the next chapter of European history ? (moderated by Veronique Swinkels)

. Conclusion

Online event, the discussion room is reserved to members of the Franck Biancheri Directory of Euro-Citizens only. Live streaming will be accessible on youtube.
