We are very sad to inform you of the death of Ana Blanca Gallo Alvarez on September 18th.
In the name of the Association des Amis de Franck Biancheri, we wish to convey our deepest sympathy to Ana-Blanca’s family, friends and colleagues.
We remember Ana-Blanca from the time of her very early European vocation when, at the end of the 80s, she joined Franck Biancheri’s newly created AEGEE and then followed him in the first ever trans-European political party endeavour IDE (Initiative pour une Démocratie Européenne).
We all remember her calm and bright intelligence, as well as the good friend she was.
Only 9 years after Franck, like him far too early, the crab has taken her away from her loving ones. Strikingly parallel destinies…
We’ll make sure she has a special place in the Franck Biancheri fund at the Jean Monnet Fondation for Europe in Lausanne.
A small memorial service for the closest friends and collaborators will be held next Monday 25th October. A virtual condolences book has been open at the HRVP Cabinet. Messages can be sent to CAB-BORRELL-FONTELLES-CONTACT@ec.europa.eu with subject reference “Condolencias Ana Gallo”.
