Public Event “1989-2014 : From One Wall to Another”

25th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall: in 25 years Europe, that was born in 1989 failed to grow up, get out of his lab, transform this opportunity of independence, assume its responsibilities, stand resolutely in the world. We have a very sad way to celebrate one of the few positive events which history has bestowed on us: we are rebuilding this Wall. The first stones of the new Wall have already been set. There is no time to waste to remove them and pour the asphalt of the roads of an open future.

25° anniversaire de la chute du Mur de Berlin: en 25 ans, l’Europe qui est née de 1989 n’a pas su devenir adulte, sortir de son laboratoire, transformer cette opportunité d’indépendance, assumer ses responsabilités, se tourner résolument vers le monde. Nous avons une bien triste manière de célébrer l’un des rares événements positifs dont l’Histoire nous a gratifiés: nous sommes en train de reconstruire ce Mur. Les premières pierres du nouveau Mur ont déjà été posées. Il n’y a pas de temps à perdre pour les retirer et couler l’asphalte des routes d’un avenir ouvert.
